Once again - for old time's sake - Linda and I met with chums Jane, Jason and Paul for a walk through the forest by day and at night, enjoying lunch at the Orford beach cafe and a wonderful supper at the Wilford Bridge restaurant.

The forest was deserted during the morning and looked particularly beautiful in its autumnal colours: when we returned in the ewvening, however, it was full of Scouts 'doing' a night camping and navigation exercise! Under the circumstances, instead of heading out on Track 10 as usual, we took the path to the East Gate. Nothing out of the way to report (apart from several big flocks of Crossbills!) but a very pleasant weekend with our friends.
